Teachers can share ideas and strategies with other teachers through blogs. Students can tour the galleries and work on projects that encourage creative thinking. Students are transported inside a painting and get clues to answer questions about the painting and the artist, the style and the theme. I love that students can "dive right into the painting" This is a lot more fun than watching slides about paintings. It's a great way for kids to remember the artists and their work. There are lesson plans for all areas, thematic units, seasonal ideas, bulletin board ideas for the classroom, teacher resources, printable worksheets. I like the online collaboration projects, posted teaching positions, and message boards. Grade level-K-5th, art teachers, classroom teachers.

It provides a short definition of what you are studying and also has printed quizzes, vocabulary words and puzzles for each lesson. The one drawback is that you have to subscribe to this site.
